Director of Donor Relations - Oklahoma City

Essential Job Functions:

  • Direct, coordinate and implement a comprehensive fundraising and development plan with detailed and corresponding strategies related to the areas of assigned responsibilities
  • Cultivate and manage relationships and solicit and secure capital and major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations consistent with the Association’s annual fundraising goals
  • Hold accountability for the fundraising goals in assigned areas of responsibility
  • Support fundraising and management of annual black-tie gala, Carnivale with activities as needed
  • Monitor and report monthly on fundraising activities to the Resource Development committee and Board of Directors
  • Develop and support activities related to planned giving, including monitoring of prospects and coordination with Tulsa Community Foundation, Oklahoma City Community Foundation and Communities Foundation of Oklahoma
  • Maintain accurate and updated information on donors and prospective donors in the Association’s CRM, salesforce.com.
  • Direct and/or assist in the planning and/or managing of cultivation events or programs
  • Identify and participate in special events, recognition and stewardship programs
  • Identify and participate in the recruitment and training of board members, advisory council members and volunteers
  • Serve as a key representative of the Association at various events in the community
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 3 years of major gifts leadership experience. Proactive development leader with an established track record of increasing philanthropic revenue from diverse constituencies. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, results oriented and creative problem solver. Proficient PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.  Experience in project management. Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings, as needed and willingness to travel within Oklahoma.
  • Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Monday-Friday (some evenings and weekends, flexibility in scheduling required)
