MARKETING/PR MANAGER

Reports to PRESIDENT/CEO

DESCRIPTION

  • Create and execute all media, advertising and promotional strategy including: implementation and writing of press releases, public service announcements and special interest collateral and videos; determining media placement; responsible for website content and maintaining marketing archives
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with news media, board members, community volunteers, and member agencies.  Possess excellent interpersonal skills to manage both internal and external partners
  • Lead creative planning process for organization’s public relations and advertising campaigns and programs such as the annual fundraising drive and the OKCityCard. Serve as the organization’s liaison with external  advertising agencies in an effort to promote visibility and branding of Allied Arts and the OKCityCard
  • Manage all online content for Allied Arts website and assist in managing/maintaining OKCityCard website and app. This includes maintaining the blog, overseeing online analytics and reporting for both websites and implementing online advertising campaigns
  • Responsible for all social media activity, including developing and scheduling content, running promotional campaigns, and managing analytics and reporting
  • Coordinate graphic design, layout, writing, editing and multimedia projects.  Position is responsible for maintaining all marketing and promotional pieces for the organization.  Prepare requests for quotes and bids within budget
  • Position oversees the branding/marketing committee for Allied Arts as well as branding marketing committees for main Allied Arts events including ARTini and the biennial gala, OPUS, and executes all photography, media visits and marketing materials
  • Create monthly Allied Arts Promotes e-newsletter and send general e-newsletter quarterly
  • Additional ad hoc tasks and duties

 

SKILLS

  • Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills to effectively handle projects in a fast-paced, high-volume and deadline-intensive environment during annual campaign
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, strong proofreading skills
  • Ability to take initiative, self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Knowledge of nonprofit promotional strategies and working within a budget
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Prezi);  Adobe Creative Suite and graphic design experience preferred.  Basic website management/UX experience preferred
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a strong team environment

 

EDUCATION and REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, communications or related field
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in marketing/public relations
  • This position will be asked to work at Allied Arts events, including set up and tear down.  Some evening and weekend commitments are necessary.
